Does anyone know if there is a replacement light assembly for the cornering lamps for the A3 model All American? These are the amber lights on the front bottom corners near the head lights. I believe the originals were mfg'd by Dietz.

I'm converting my AA to LEDs, and I haven't been able to come up with any.

Have you called a Blue Bird dealer and asked about them?

Are those the same model lights as the first-gen Visions, or do they just look about the same? If so, let me know, we've had to replace the entire light assembly just about every year on our 04 and 06 Vision because it didn't seem to occur to the engineers that exposed wiring 6" over a front tire might occasionally get a little water on it.

I have called my dealer and they couldn't come up with any. I was just wondering on a bus that comes factory with an all LED light package what it comes with.

Dietz was bought out by Federal Mogul years ago and Truck Lite bought FM out back in '02 or '03 I think.

If it doesn't fit, FORCE it.
If it breaks, well, it needed replacing anyway.

I haven't seen these lights on any newer birds, have then been discontinued alltogether? They were garbage anyways.

I believe they are the same. There was a service update for replacing the dollar general store lamps they were using. Why not just install a LED bulb in them?

Are you talking about the last A3 side marker assemblies that took a 3156 bulb and burned out the sockets (#00064586)? We put in LED bulbs - have to get skinny ones so they fit in the hole properly. Was able to buy the socket separately (after purchasing a bunch of assemblies. If you look on it, there is a Ford number of 2U5Z-13411-RA. Should always replace that socket, as they don't hold the bulb worth a darn if they've gotten hot.

Buses with all LED packages came with the above incandescent units in 2008 - in 2009 they didn't come with side markers at all.

Here is what I ended up doing to make them LED. I didn't like the idea of a socket type LED bulb as I haven't had much luck with them in the past.
