They sure are pretty when they are new...just wait about 5 years when everything is rotting and rusting apart back there. THAT is what the real fun starts.

HDX for sure. Like I said, I've never seen an HDX or any RE bus in person.

Here's the latest twist. CARB has granted NAV permission to sell their heavy engines (Maxx11 - 15) in California as long as they have credits. This means that they can direct credits to apply only to engines going to CA and other states that have adopted CA emissions requirements but would have to pay EPA fines for engines designated as sold outside CA and those other states.

Also, noted that the Cummins is certified at 220hp and 250hp at .02 NOx but not at 200hp. I wonder why that is? Submission timing or some other technical reason?

http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2012/03/15/no-claims-on-navistar.aspx

This is a good link regarding the challenges they face over the next 9 to 12 months. Not necessarily doom and gloom but certainly highlights the uncertainty.

Also, noted in a recent Wall Street Journal article that they have budgeted $25 million as penalty dollars for non-compliant engines. If $1,900 is the maximum penalty amount that figure would calculate out to 13,000 engines. So this appears to be the minimum number they will build this year that don't comply and are not covered by credits.

Cramer is very much a "in the moment" commentator. He'll say one thing one episode and completely reverse course in the next. I wouldn't make investment decisions based on anything that guys says on his show.

Yes they are, the entire IC bus line is manufactured there now. Conway, Arkansas is out of bus production, they do still fabricate some parts there last I had heard.
