Lots of great pics there, Christian! Thanks for coming back.
That HBUHSD 21 and the Supercoach are sharp! Nice to see another TC1000, too. |

You are truly welcome gang! I'm working for Durham School Services now and will be going on a lot of trips and charters that I'm sure other "buses" will be attending. I will take as many photos as I can and post them for ya'll. I'm just super excited to be back driving again. Some may see my obsession as a mental illness...I see it as a life calling LOL
Good to be back in the game!
And for those of you attending STN Expo in Reno next year...i'm only 2 hours away. We should meet up and have a little pow wow and attend....TOGETHER! Ya'll can stay at my house. Lord knows....I got the room :)
CHEERS!

Lookin good man! A few first sights for me... First time I've seen LED warning lights on a CA bus, and i love the placement of the strobe! Right smack in the middle of the roof! LOL Nice finds sir. |

Thank you for sharing those pictures, Christian!
The HDX with dual stop arms and the TC1000 are very interesting... |

I know right? Usually we don't normally see dual stop arms on a california school bus...however Stockton is a very rural area so I'm thinking they just wanted the extra lights. Looks great and with those shiny alcoa's too! |

tylerofficer: Anaheim City School District, my former employer, kept their buses in very good condition. They would send a batch every summer to get repainted. Plus I love the black window posts. |

I really like the idea of sending them for repaint. Where do they send them? I wish they would do that here, it would make the drivers respect the bus more since it looks new, seems the older it looks the more of a bashing it gets. |

Christian,
I hardly ever post here anymore - or anywhere schoolbus related as college is just so time consuming - but I happend to be extremely bored the other day and was browsing for some good new California bus pictures when I discovered your topic. It made my day! (Or, well...it at least made my hour, haha). I love the diversity of the buses you have pictures of; it seems like the majority of districts have the typical All Americans and ERs/HDXs, all with the same specs...you have pictures of specs I have never seen on a California bus before! (ie double stop signs, only 1 black rubrail, etc) as well as the not-to-common conventionals and even rarer FEs.
I really like the looks of that D3RE, and the yellow of your car compliments that mirror picture nicely, haha. That tandem HDX looks nice...and the most believable of the photoshops. If only Thomas still made tandems...
Anyway, very nice pictures...thank you! |

We had some beautiful Crown rodeo buses up until not very long ago. Unfortunately, the make was never a hallmark of low emissions. The rest is history, and without a trace. |

@ SAM: Your welcome buddy. It's always nice to know that there is at least one other bus nut in my area. I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. I'll be judging a CASTO rodeo in Roseville this saturday (3/10) and I'll be sure to take as many pics as my camera can hold and showcase them for everyone. It's always nice to see them buses all shiny and purdy :)
Stay tuned... |
