I posted this in the for sale section. But I think they are more worried about what their die cast is worth over there....

92 vintage 466 90K on it with a 7 speed attached, runs like a charm. Whats it worth? 190hp, Tractor pull guys I would think would scarf this thing up. 3-$5000?

That is quite a nice pair. I think your best chance for selling it at a fair price is ebay. There is a large chance your high bidder will be from South America. The mechanical 466's are more realiable than their mid 90's and later counterparts.

Heres my opinion on listing price. Start your bid at 2500 and set the reserve at 3500. Someones bound to bite on it for what you want for it, just not any of us guys on the forum anyway. Don't be insulted if it doesnt go on the first round. I'm sure you have ebay expierience.

Do the world a favor and bring back GMC and Ford conventional chassis......

Is the drivetrain still in the chassis and driveable? Worth more that way IMO.
Is it in WI?
That sure would go nice in my Blue Bird shorty....

We just sold a rusty '92 IH/Thomas, DT466/MT643, 170K for $1800. The engine and trans. were in good condition. The body..... 15 years of road salt......

If it doesn't fit, FORCE it.
If it breaks, well, it needed replacing anyway.

I'd rather have the 466 with the 643. Had one and sold it for $3,500.
$1,800 is a nice price.

Snowy, Well yes and no on drivability, Hood is gone, no front bumper, few windows taken out but it does run and move. It would have to go on a lowboy.

It was a cold ride home for sure after I parted a pile out of it. lol!

Don't sell your busses to South America unless you have the owners manual translated to spanish for them. They just use them to rape the rainforest and haul in more illegals.

Is this it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/School-bus-DT466-INT-Engine-7-speed-tranmission_W0QQitemZ110195533505QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110195533505

Does it have working lights on the back? Rig up some lights on the front and drive it like it is. Who needs a hood?
