I have a couple of questions about dodge school buses.

Does anyone know the last year Dodge made regular size school buses?

I think this one is impossible. Does anyone have pictures of the drivers area of a 1970's Dodge school bus?

Nice pictures. That bus doesnt have much rear overhang on it.

Do the world a favor and bring back GMC and Ford conventional chassis......

There is one on my site, a 1976 Dodge Superior, and I have a drivers area picture taken from the stairwell. The stairwell would not have held me, so I could not go any further!

My school district had a Dodge Superior, a 1976 60 passenger I do believe. Never rode in it so I don't know what the engine/transmission specs were.

Traverse City Area Public schools purchased three 1976 Blue Bird Dodges. They were the first Dodge's since 1969 (they bought one that year) and the last ones they ever bought. What is interesting is that they kept the buses for only about four years. My guess is that they were nothing but trouble. They usually keep their regular route buses a dozen years or so. I must confess though that I did like the looks of those buses, call me crazy!!

I was always intrigued by them Dodges. Back in 9th grade, I knew there was Ford, GMC, Chevy and thats it, never seen a Dodge or an International till then. If I remember right, the head custodian of CPU had told me that the Dodge was the only one ever purchased and said it was strange bus, I think they took it from regular service in 1987 or 1989.

I did make a model of one of them...back in 1980...just before they were sold. It was bus #103. I have no plans of remaking any Dodge bus.
