Scroll down for Summer 2007 Updates.
For anyone who is interested, I updated my website for the Winter of 2006/2007. The following has been completed as of January 1, 2007:
- Forty-one new photos have been added in for Winter 2006/2007 in the AmTran (1), Blue Bird (17), Carpenter (1), Collins (2), Corbeil (2), International / IC (3), Mid Bus (3), Superior (1), and Thomas (11) sections.
- The format of the Next/Up/Previous navigation links for the photo pages has been updated.
Certain highlights incldue:
- Pre-'77 Thomas International
- Dodge Superior Conventional
- Photos from the 1970s and 1980s of early model Thomases in their prime.
Let me know what you think of any of the additions; I love to hear feedback!

Wow - wonderful update! This is definitly your best work! Loved the oldies! Can't wait to see your next update!
I noticed you visited that junkyard (the one with the Blue Bird/GMC)that had that Superior Dodge in Michigan. Is that Superior Dodge happen to still be there? |

Nice update, but the Dodge definitely has seen better days. Come to think of it, I haven't seen a decent looking Dodge conventional since we moved from Ohio when I was in second grade in 1982. The district there (Danbury) had a few Dodge Superiors. |

I always enjoy your updates Mike, and this one was no exception! I loved those '70s N.C. spec Thomas buses. Clarkstown District in NY had very similar buses in the early '70s. The only differences being front lit destination sign and 8 way warning lights and them being GMCs instead of Chevys. But like the N.C. spec buses they had the smooth side panels. Excellent job and happy new year! |

Sorry that I hadn't gotten back to you on this; I've been away form the computer. It's the same yard, yes, but the Dodge has been gone since 2005. Otherwise I would've snapped as many pictures as possible of it. The Superior Dodge was in great shape! The same cannot be said for that GMC. But you'll notice that when I first spotted this GMC, back in 2004, it was the same visit when I spotted that Dodge. I don't know what this towing place does with the buses, but when they finally end up behind the building, it doesn't take long for them to disappear altogether.

I've updated the website for April 22, 2007:
- Sixteen new photos have been added for Spring 2007 in the Carpenter (10), Thomas (1), and Wayne (5) sections.
- SPECIAL THANKS to Todd Michaels for providing a wealth of unique information and photography.
- An Frequently Asked Questions section regarding publishing practices for this webpage has been added in order to aid in your interpretation of the webpage. A method to my madness, if you will.
- Thanks to some errors and stubborness on the part of my editing software, I had to redo the tables in all of the photo pages, but it turned out for the better. So you might notice this revision.
You'll also notice that all these buses are OLD! So if you're interested in seeing some ancient equipment in the time when they were somewhat new, this is certainly an update you should take a peek at.
Have a great weekend! |

As always a terrific update! Great seeing those old Carpenters, Waynes and Thomas. Just a note, the '50's unknown (the pic with all the drivers standing in front of the bus) is a Superior!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! My goal is to provide something unique that people enjoy, and I seem to have achieved that this time around. I'm so happy to be able to provide something to you guys in that regards. And thank you, Ted and Jared, for the corrections. The photographer wasn't sure about the 1940's vehicle, and neither was I. The 1950's bus he said was a Carpenter, and since I'm not as good with the older ones, I didn't notice that he may have been wrong. But thanks for pointing out that Superior, I see it now.
(These errors will be corrected at the next update though... Where I live now, it takes two hours to save the updated webpage to the server! ) |

Mike's Bus Yard has been updated for August 9, 2007:
- Sixty-three new buses have been added for Summer 2007 in the AmTran (1), Blue Bird (10), Carpenter (17), Corbeil (7), Girardin (3), IC (4), Mid Bus (1), Superior (1), Thomas (15), Ward (1), and Wayne (3) sections.
- Special thanks goes to Todd Michaels for again providing some very unique photography, and also to A. Wong for being a very reliable source for Canadian school buses.
- The "My Bus" section has been revamped with new photos, reorganized information, and a couple videos.
There are again some oldies in there. I look forward to reading your input! Woohoo, 8 years.

You never cease to amaze me Mike, great job! Some of the shots you take such as the close up of the interior roof hatches and the warning lights are things that never even occur to me when I take pics. Congrats to 8 years on the web |

Well I would normally say great update, but it seems as soon as I start browsing your site, it can't connect to your site's server. This happens quite often on your site. I'm not sure why. I'm sure everything is great. Your site has been "taking too long to respond" for the past 15mins.
Well I got it to work for a while (I had to restart my modem) then it timed out again. Those are some nice Blue Birds. |

Awesome update Mike! As always, great quality photos. Great to see buses from Michigan! Enjoyed seeing the buses from your fleet as well as the Carpenters. Can't wait to see the Fall update!
On that 1993 Thomas Saf-T-Liner ER, you put "Virginia or South Carolina". That is indeed a Virginia bus. |
