This one has been bugging me so I thought I'd ask here. Last year I was looking at eBay and recall seeing what I remember to be a 1:87 scale school bus made out of plastic that was a Ward Ford B-700 style.I've done various Google and Yahoo searches and came up with nothing. Am I nuts or was there a bus model like this? |

Lee, I think this is the bus you're thinking of. There's always a few for sale on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=19061&item=6964391505&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V
It's based on a Ward Ford (even though it's a GM on the box), it's 1/87 scale, it's plastic, and it's made by Lindberg. When buying one on eBay you have to be careful because they come in a variety of colors. I have a red and a green.
Ryan, the bus you show is the very first toy bus I ever had. (Well, not that exact one, actually a much older version with rubber tires.) It first came out in the '50's by Hubley. I wore that first bus out so fast my parents got me another a couple of years later. This was back in the early 60's. It does seem to be based on a Ford chassis and I think the body resembles a Carpenter a little bit. It's about 1/34 scale, maybe smaller. |

Hey Lee, I know what you're talking about. I have a model Ward Ford. Mine's made by Maisto. I don't have any way of getting some pics of it and if I did, I wouldn't be able to put them onto the computer. |

Nope, its none of those unfortunatly, but thanks for trying.
Johnny, does you Maisto bus look like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2509&item=6967042596&rd=1&tc=photo Because if it does that's not it either. If what you have is different what you can do if you don't have a digital camara is use a regular film camara or go to Wallgreens and get a cheapo disposable camara. When you bring the camara into the photo lab for prints a lot of places will give you the option of putting the pics on a CD. Then you can open them on the computer and send them out in an email. |

Oh well, then maybe I really AM crazy but it was probably either a custom job or perhaps my memory just isn't what it used to be. That's what happens when you turn 30! |
