Global e-mobility technology company SEA Electric on Jan. 30 made official its appointment of Justin Gil Palmer to the role of President - North America.

Since 2017, Palmer had served as president and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks America (MFTA-Daimler Trucks), which included oversight of the global launch, sales, and support for the brand's alternate powertrains, including the e-Canter line. That role encompassed the brand's distribution network and market strategy in the United States and Canada, extending to sales, communications and marketing, retail network development, and product management.

"It's an honor that Justin is joining the SEA Electric family as our new President - North America," said Tony Fairweather, CEO and founder of SEA Electric. "The e-logisitics movement is at a crossover point where industry now understands the true value of its potential, both from an environmental standpoint and for the bottom lines of adopting businesses."

The new position represents a major opportunity to help make a positive impact on society, Palmer said.

“It is a true personal mission to convert the trucking industry into a clean industry, and that starts with a focus on the urban and inner-city delivery sectors," he said. “It is a key opportunity to align with SEA Electric. The company’s deployments across the world are showing what is possible in the switch to sustainability. Demand from the marketplace is rapidly growing, and SEA Electric is in the prime position to take advantage across North America.”

Mike Menyhart, who had led the company's North America business, now heads global marketing, strategy, and business development in his new role as chief commercial officer.
