EXTON, Pa. — Sonny Gordon has been named the new Midwestern regional sales manager for United States Seating Co. (USSC).

Gordon joins the company with 20 years of experience in the industry. He served most recently as regional sales manager for MobileView at United Technologies Corp. and as national sales director for American Seating Co.

Prior to his career in sales, Gordon played professional football for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and in the Canadian Football League.

In addition to supplying seating, USSC Group is the parent company of Fogmaker North America, which provides fire suppression systems for school buses and other vehicles.

"We continue to experience remarkable growth for seating and fire suppression in the North American transit market, and that growth requires additional organizational talent,” said Raymond Melleady, executive vice president of USSC. “Sonny truly understands the value of teamwork and is the perfect addition to our growing organization. … He brings a record of accomplishment in sales and customer service and is well respected in the industry.”

Gordon called USSC “a significant player in the transit industry with a great portfolio of products. I am eager to join this well-respected and talented team of sales professionals.”
