WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx appointed Sarah Feinberg as his chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

Feinberg served in the Obama Administration as a special assistant to the president and senior advisor to former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, serving as his liaison to the Obama economic team, the national security team, and the press and communications departments.

Most recently, Feinberg managed Facebook’s Washington, D.C.-based outreach and communications as well as the company’s political and crisis communications. Before that, she served as director of communications and business strategy at Bloomberg LP, where she managed Bloomberg’s Washington, D.C.-based communications.

“WTS International would like to congratulate Ms. Feinberg on her new post at the DOT," said Marcia Ferranto, WTS president and CEO. "Secretary Foxx’s selection of a woman for an executive role illustrates his commitment to an administration led by a gender-diverse team."

WTS International seeks to attract, retain and advance women in transportation.
