LUFKIN, Texas — A school bus driver for Lufkin Independent School District arranged a field trip to the Museum of East Texas' Festival of Trees for the kids on his bus after he saw it on television, the Lufkin News reports.

The students on Robert Hunt's bus, who attend three different Lufkin schools, are mostly from low-income areas. Hunt first asked his boss, district Transportation Director Kelly Wesley, for permission for the field trip.

The students got signed permission slips, and teachers and principals from the three schools chaperoned. Hunt said the trip was his Christmas gift to the students.
