WARRENVILLE, Ill. — Dennis Huffmon has been named vice president and general manager for IC Bus U.S. and Canada, a role in which he will lead the company’s school bus and commercial bus businesses for these countries.

Huffmon will be accountable for the financial performance of the businesses and will take on responsibility for strategic planning, business development, sales, distribution and manufacturing.

“I am excited about the opportunities in our bus business in North America and around the world,” IC Bus President John McKinney said. “Dennis has demonstrated that he has the vision, business knowledge and leadership skills needed for this important position."

Huffmon joined Navistar's truck group in 2001 as a regional account executive and was promoted to key market manager. In 2004, he became vice president of Navistar’s used truck organization.

Huffmon joined Navistar’s IC Bus group in 2007, where he focused on strengthening the company’s base business. He was promoted to vice president of global sales and distribution for IC Bus and broadened his focus to include growth opportunities around the world.

In 2009, Huffmon was named vice president and general manager with responsibility for Navistar’s ancillary businesses, including Workhorse, Blue Diamond Truck (Navistar’s joint venture with Ford) and Navistar’s eStar all-electric truck.
