TIFFIN, Ohio — Next school year, only students in grades K-8 who live more than two miles away from school will be transported by Tiffin City Schools' buses, The Advertiser-Tribune reports.
The Tiffin City board of education approved reducing transportation of students to state-minimum standards at a meeting in December. The plan is expected to save the district approximately $120,000.
Currently, 600 regular-education students are transported daily. The new plan means that next year, the number will drop to about 250.
