MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Twenty-four families who live on the route for a bus driver who lost her home in a flood gave her a holiday card containing gift cards totaling more than $1,000, The Patriot-News reports.

Susan Teyral, who works for Derry Township School District, has continued to drive her route after losing her home during Tropical Storm Lee in September. She and her family have been living at a friend's house while trying to work with an insurance company to rebuild their home.

Teyral told the newspaper that the gesture from the families was "really, really wonderful."

I read this story about the students who gave such a wonderful gift to their bus driver..... it was wonderful. She referred to her students as her kids. I say the same thing about the students who ride my bus.... they become a part of your family. May God bless each and everyone of her "kids".
