<I>SBF</i> a finalist for 2 publishing awards
In the annual Maggie Awards, which are for trade and consumer magazines west of the Mississippi, SCHOOL BUS FLEET's recent feature on lawsuits and its 2010 Fact Book will contend for editorial honors.
SCHOOL BUS FLEET will contend against a variety of other publications in the 2011 Maggie Awards.
SBF has been named a finalist in two categories: Best Feature Article for trade publications and Guides, Catalogues & Directories for trade and consumer publications.
Executive Editor Thomas McMahon's article "The Roots and Results of School Bus Lawsuits," from the November 2010 issue, is the contender in the feature category. In the directories category is the 2010 SBF Fact Book.
SBF won the Maggie for directories with its 2005 Fact Book. The annual issue features a variety of pupil transportation statistics, school bus specifications and contact information for industry organizations.
The annual competition, held by the Western Publishing Association for trade and consumer magazines west of the Mississippi, will take place on April 29 in Los Angeles. More than 600 media professionals gather to honor excellence in print and electronic publishing in more than 100 categories.
