New tool analyzes transportation data for school districts
The transportation model for Tyler Technologies’ District Pulse collects data from the company’s Versatrans applications, compiles it and publishes key metrics on a district’s intranet.
ALBANY, N.Y. — Tyler Technologies Inc. has released a transportation model for its District Pulse solution.
District Pulse is a Web-based information warehouse designed specifically for school districts. The new transportation model collects data from Tyler’s Versatrans applications, compiles it and publishes key metrics on the district’s intranet.
The solution is designed with transportation’s key performance indicators (KPI) in mind, according to the company. Once installed, District Pulse creates charts and graphs based on the data that show how a transportation operation is performing.
The ability to quickly assess current performance against previous years is valuable when trying to evaluate and explain transportation budgets, company officials said.
“Transportation professionals now need to monitor their KPIs in order understand the effectiveness of their operation,” said Ted Thien, vice president of sales and marketing for Tyler's Versatrans Solution. “District Pulse enables you to make data-driven decisions that you can support.”
District Pulse was developed by PulseMark LLC of St. Louis, Mo., which was acquired by Tyler Technologies in March 2009. District Pulse already has an established client base through its student information and assessment models.
