System automatically cuts idling
The Eco-Star anti-idling system turns off the engine when the vehicle is in park, speed is zero and passenger door is open, and restarts when the door is closed and the brake pedal is pressed. The system does not affect the battery, so lights, stop arms, lifts and other equipment still function. Eco-Star is available for buses on 2008 and newer Ford and GM chassis.
