Stock Transportation secures Alberta contracts
The Canadian subsidiary of National Express Corp. recently began serving Edmonton Catholic School District 7 and Elk Island Catholic Separate Regional School Division 41. The company operates 40 bus routes for the first district and one bus for the latter district.
School bus contractor Stock Transportation, the Canadian subsidiary of National Express Corp., recently began providing service to two school districts in Alberta.
Stock is operating 40 bus routes and transporting more than 500 students daily for Edmonton Catholic School District 7, primarily serving special-education students. For Elk Island Catholic Separate Regional School Division 41, Stock runs one school bus.
Officials said the previous transportation provider for these services was R.L. Smith Transportation. Stock acquired its buses and has rehired most of its employees.
“We have developed great new partnerships, and our staff has been working extremely hard on these transitions to ensure that everything runs smoothly,” General Manager Kerri Timbers said. “We’re looking forward to safely transporting these students for years to come.”
