WARRENVILLE, Ill. — Mike Rushin has been appointed chief operating officer, transit, for National Express Corp.

In this newly created role, Rushin will be responsible for growing and overseeing National Express’ transit operations in North America. National Express is the parent company of Durham School Services in the U.S. and Stock Transportation in Canada.   

Officials said Rushin joins the company with many years of experience in the student transportation industry. He was most recently president of transit services for TransCare in Brooklyn, N.Y.  Prior to that, Rushin was president and chief operating officer of Laidlaw Transit Services.

“We are very pleased to welcome Mike to National Express Corp.,” CEO David Duke said. “He is the perfect operational leader to oversee our transit operations and continue to grow National Express’ presence in the North American transit market.”
