Servicefinder: Safety Starts in the Garage

June 18, 2024 | 8:00 AM PT/ 11:00 AM ET 1 Hr

You work meticulously to ensure that every bus stop is placed at the safest spot. You design every route with safety in mind as well. You frequently review your routes and stops to make sure that your students are as safe as possible. We all know the yellow school bus is the safest mode of transportation for these students. That’s why it is critical to make sure your buses are properly maintained, because safety starts in the garage.

Transfinder invested years to upgrade Servicefinder and it is more robust than ever so your buses remain in peak condition. You know the impact of having a bus down for repairs. Servicefinder helps you stay on top of repairs to remove the “surprise element.” In addition, you can manage all your assets and facilities, monitor asset lifecycles and analyze reports to make data-driven decisions.

In a panel discussion moderated by Rick D’Errico, Transfinder’s director of public relations, you’ll hear from professionals like you who use Servicefinder.

Panelists include:

Trace Johnson, Director of Student Routing and Technologies at Palmer Bus Service in Minnesota.
Trace started working for Palmer Bus Service in 2010 when still in high school as a bus washer and bus aide. After high school he went on to college and also joined the Army National Guard. He came back to work for Palmer Bus Service in 2017 as an assistant manager for one of the location terminals. In less than a year he was promoted to that location's manager. He’s been in his current position since 2023.

Craig LippsDirector of Transportation for Guilderland CSD
Craig has been involved in Pupil Transportation since 2000 and managing school bus fleets for over 18 years.
Craig believes all students deserve the best education possible. School transportation is an integral part of the education process. “Keeping that in mind, I lead my team to focus on student success and our students start and end their school day with the best possible transportation service.”

Randy Williams, director of transportation at Wilson School District in Pennsylvania.
Randy formulates bid specifications for the purchase of equipment and vehicles as well as transportation services and the sale of obsolete or unneeded equipment. In his role, Randy also develops and implements plans for ensuring appropriate cleanliness and maintenance of buses.

In addition, you will get a deep dive into Servicefinder, what’s new and how it will help keep your fleet – and your students – safer. Presenting key functions and new features of Servicefinder are:
Antonio Civitella, President and CEO of Transfinder; and
Zach Moren, Transfinder’s Sales Enablement and Engineering Manager
