Bedford City School District becomes the first district in Ohio to purchase Type C school buses made by Lion Bus. According to Transportation Supervisor Patrick Carney, the vehicle “will result in substantial cost-savings over the lifespan of the bus.”

Lion Bus to develop all-electric school bus

President Marc Bedard tells Journal de Montreal that the company “wanted the most energy efficient bus possible, and this project is materializing itself.” A feasibility study has been completed, and a prototype is set to be revealed in the spring, with Bedard noting that the company would ultimately like to produce 2,000 buses that would be sold on a 10-year scale.

NAPT trade show features many new products

Thomas Built Buses displays its redesigned Type D unit, the Saf-T-Liner EFX, while Blue Bird displays its Next Generation Propane-Powered Vision school bus.

John Barrington joins Lion Bus as sales exec

Barrington, who has more than 20 years of experience in the school bus industry, will serve as vice president of sales and compliance for the U.S. He will be responsible for Lion Bus sales and distribution in the U.S., and specific product compliance per region.

New entry in large school bus market

Spartan Chassis will provide front-engine diesel chassis for use on Type C school buses by new manufacturer Lion Bus, whose founders were both involved with Type A school bus maker Michel Corbeil Enterprises.
