ALBERTA, Canada — Dynamic Specialty Vehicles is now the certified Blue Bird dealer for the entire province of Alberta.

Dynamic Specialty Vehicles has sold and serviced buses for over 30 years, and has been a Blue Bird dealer for more than six years. Dynamic's dealership agreement in southern Alberta was completed on Dec. 31, according to a news release from Blue Bird. The company is also a certified Blue Bird dealer for two other provinces: British Columbia and the Yukon.

"We are excited about the expansion of Dynamic Specialty Vehicles to include the entire province of Alberta," said Mark Terry, chief commercial officer at Blue Bird. "With a proven track record for growth and customer satisfaction, we look forward to the rewarding relationships with districts throughout the province of Alberta that Dynamic is sure to build.”

Dominique Viau, president of Dynamic Specialty Vehicles, is excited about the company's expansion in the southern part of the province.

"Dynamic Specialty Vehicles is extremely proud to grow our seven-year relationship with Blue Bird as we expand into southern Alberta," Viau said. "This expansion offers customers access to the Blue Bird buses that they rely on, with the addition of Dynamic’s robust parts inventory and certified service across the province."

Dynamic will sell and service Blue Bird buses at their locations in Edmonton, Alberta, Surrey, British Columbia, and via their business partners located in Calgary, Alberta. In addition, Dynamic plans to have a mobile service unit in place within the next few months and open a new location in Calgary by the end of 2020.

This is a really, REALLY, bad news story. We had a good, reliable Blue Bird dealer in southern Alberta until Dynamic bullied their way in to create a Western Canada monopoly. The dealer they pushed out has been in business for a lot longer than seven years. Our closest dealer is now four hours away. The promise of "business partners" in Calgary don't exist, and the prospect of good, reliable service is pretty thin.
