SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — Police here are searching for a gunman that reportedly shot toward a school bus full of students on Thursday afternoon, FOX 5 Atlanta reports.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. near Hania Dr., according to the news source. A spokesperson from Fulton County Schools told FOX 5 Atlanta that the bus was leaving Creekside High School when the shot was fired, but no one was injured.

A witness told WSB-TV that a woman blocked the school bus with her car, got out, and started arguing with the bus driver. The witness added that as the woman was preparing to get back in her car, another vehicle drove up, and a man jumped out of the vehicle, saying “I’ll take care of her.” Within seconds, the man pulled out a gun and shot toward the bus, the witness told the news source.

Officials told WSB-TV that the shooter left in a black sports car, which was either a Mustang or a two-door Charger. Investigators added that they believe the man may have fired the shot into the air.

Fulton County Schools issued a statement on Friday, according to the news source, saying that the school district’s police and the City of South Fulton Police are currently investigating the matter, and that they are urging the community to come forward with any information that may be useful to apprehend the individual(s) involved.
