SANDY, Ore. — Officials said a school bus here was involved in a crash with two other vehicles on Tuesday morning.

Oregon State Police said in a tweet that the crash involved “a school bus full of students” and at least two other vehicles on Highway 26 at milepost 22. The bus was transporting Alice Ott Middle School students back home following a band performance, according to a statement released on David Douglas School District’s Facebook page.

The district said in the statement that the bus driver and six of the students on board were transported to local hospitals, and that none of the students appeared to be seriously hurt. The drivers of the two other vehicles involved were also taken to the hospital for minor injuries, according to police.

The district added in the statement that their “thoughts are with all those injured,” and that they will be working closely with the school's staff to ensure that the emotional and physical needs of the students and staff involved are met.
