Thomas Built Buses Partners With Propane Solutions Provider

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Thomas Built Buses has formed a strategic partnership with propane systems provider Agility Fuel Solutions.

In May, Agility announced that it had acquired the assets of CleanFuel USA, which filed for bankruptcy in April. CleanFuel USA supplied the propane delivery system for Thomas Built’s propane Saf-T-Liner C2. With the acquisition of CleanFuel USA’s assets, Agility will now offer propane systems for school buses.

CleanFuel USA’s propane delivery system has been instrumental in the success of our propane product, and we look forward to working with Agility to develop additional propane solutions in the near future.”

Thomas Built Buses will continue to offer the 8.0L V-8 LPG engine built specifically to run on propane in its Saf-T-Liner C2 propane model. The engine is paired with the medium-duty Allison 2300 PTS Series transmission.
