SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Transfinder and fleet tracking solutions provider Synovia Solutions have signed a reseller agreement that authorizes Synovia to sell Transfinder products.

The agreement, Transfinder’s first in its 28-year history, is expected to increase its exposure in both the K-12 and non-K-12 markets and strengthen Synovia’s product offerings in both sectors as well, according to Transfinder.

Synovia, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, is among the first companies included in Transfinder’s recently launched Marketplace, which features vendors in a variety of categories, including GPS and parent portals.

The reseller agreement goes beyond Marketplace promotion of vendor products.

“Synovia will be selling Transfinder products in conjunction with theirs in both the K-12 and non-K-12 market,” said Antonio Civitella, Transfinder's president and CEO. “This is the first time Transfinder has entered into a reseller agreement with another vendor. Synovia is the right partner to launch this reseller initiative.”

Synovia President and CEO Jon King said the agreement is a win-win for both companies and their respective clients, as well as the markets they are targeting.

“Transfinder has been a valued Synovia partner for a long time. We are especially excited about incorporating Transfinder’s technology into our platforms,” King said. “One example is in the area of fleet maintenance. Using our combined technologies, a technician will be able to conduct vehicle inspections using a tablet, using that information to Transfinder’s Servicefinder product that will then create work orders to fix the problem. Clients want seamless solutions and we believe this Transfinder-Synovia partnership brings that to the marketplace.”
