STEVENSVILLE, Md. — Vehicle lift supplier Stertil-Koni has introduced a new light truck adapter specifically engineered to be used with a broad range of light duty vehicles.

The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) certified, low profile adapter is designed for vehicles with minimal ground clearance, including pickup trucks, SUVs, and vans.

With the adapter, using front and rear lifting to raise a vehicle requires only two mobile columns and provides wheels-free access to the undercarriage of the vehicle, according to the supplier.

The new truck adapter also features a wide reach and a short standing height, allowing it to fit under a wide range of vehicles.

Height extensions and pads can also be added to the adapter to suit various vehicle heights, said Peter Bowers, technical sales manager for Stertil-Koni.

“These features make the adapter well suited for passenger cars, pickup trucks, and non-revenue fleets, among others,” he added.

Because the adapter is designed to be attached to existing mobile columns, maintenance shops can increase the range of vehicles they are able to service. Each adapter has a capacity of 5,500 pounds or 11,000 pounds per pair.

“Speed, efficiency and safety are essential to achieving top performance in today’s busy vehicle maintenance shops,” Bowers said. “That’s why lifting light duty vehicles using only two mobile column lifts is especially opportune in today’s highly competitive facilities.”
