GREENVILLE, S.C. — Tire supplier Michelin is inviting the public to salute the nation’s “unsung heroes”: bus drivers and other commercial drivers.

Michelin North America is marking the holiday season with a #KeepThanksMoving conversation in social and digital media that will celebrate these professional drivers and encourage people to share their own appreciation via Twitter or Facebook.

“Bus drivers safely move our most precious packages to work and school,” said Ralph Dimenna, chief operating officer for Michelin Americas Truck Tires Division. “These drivers are the ones who ‘keep thanks moving’ under all kinds of weather and driving conditions. Let’s show them how grateful we are for all they do.”

For the week of Dec. 7, Michelin will recognize the most compelling post for bus drivers who demonstrate outstanding community involvement. One individual will receive a Michelin-branded 12-volt cooler/warmer by Koolatron (suggested retail value of $150) and a certificate for a pair of Justin work boots (suggested retail value of $200), courtesy of Red Eye Radio (see official contest rules). Participants can also download a thank-you card to give to drivers in their community.

Those interested in joining the conversation and sharing thanks for drivers can post comments using the hashtag #KeepThanksMoving and including @MichelinTruck, @MichelinTweel1 or @MichelinAG on Twitter, or MichelinTruck, MichelinTweel or MichelinUSA on Facebook.
