When Mesa County School District 51 contracted its school bus service to Student Transportation of America, they wanted reliable transportation at a reasonable cost, delivered by a younger fleet and safer equipment, with improved communication and better access too routing updates for families.
Eight years into this partnership, we spoke with D51’s Chief Operations Officer, Clint Garcia, about how STA has worked to build strong partnerships with their transportation team and administrators, the local community, and parents to understand their unique transportation needs and to develop customized and innovative solutions. “Timely and efficient transportation services are crucial for students, allowing them to arrive at school on-time with minimal disruptions to their education,” Garcia said. “By entrusting our transportation responsibilities to STA, we’re able alleviate administrative burdens and allow school staff to concentrate on teaching and supporting students.”
