ihave the visiin isb6.7 with code 3559 doser unit shorted to ground or open circuit i readdown the tree and itssaying possible short to ground in harness have u guys seen theis could and is there a comin spot where wires rub

could be injector shorted internally or open circuit in it also
unplug it and see what the code it comes up with then cross it over and see what code it is thats a quick way to see if its the wiring or injector itself

ok iam gonna be dumb here u are sayin unplug the doser injector see what code comes up then cross over what exactly???

He is saying unplug it and short the 2 wires together at the injector connector. I don't think it will set a different code because your description says open or short so whether the injector is open or shorted the same code will come up.
Do you have the ESN? Or VIN

it is step six of the trouble shooting for this code and this code has a tsb on it here, but you didn't mention any other codes but i'll post anyway

Issue

Multiple trouble not found aftertreatment DEF dosing unit have been returned from the field due to being replaced while troubleshooting Fault Codes 3558 and/or 3559.

Symptom:

Active Fault Codes 3558 and/or 3559 present.
Aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) dosing unit may appear to be non-functional
Root Cause:

Neither a good or malfunctioning aftertreatment DEF dosing unit can cause Fault Codes 3558 or 3559 to come active as these fault codes are isolated within the OEM wiring harness.
An electrical short or open circuit has been detected in the DEF dosing unit OEM wiring harness.
Verification

Active Fault Codes 3558 and/or 3559 present.
Aftertreatment DEF dosing unit may appear to be non-functional.
Resolution

Follow appropriate troubleshooting steps as outlines in the corresponding fault code Troubleshooting trees and/or EDS.
Review OEM service information for documentation related to Fault Codes 3558 and/or 3559.
Service Instructions

Connect with INSITE™ electronic service tool and check for active fault codes.
If Fault Codes 5865 or 5867 are present, troubleshoot these fault codes before troubleshooting Fault Codes 3558 or 3559.
If Fault Codes 3558 and/or 3559 are the only active fault codes, do not replace aftertreatment DEF dosing unit. Follow corresponding troubleshooting documentation.
Check OEM aftertreatment DEF dosing unit relay wiring harness for chaffed wires, damaged/exposed wires, and/or damaged pins.
Check OEM aftertreatment DEF dosing unit relay for proper operation.
Check OEM wire between the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit and ECM pin 79 for chaffed wires, damaged/exposed wires, and/or damaged pins.
Review OEM service information for documentation related to Fault Codes 3558 and/or 3559.

OEM trained in wiring and all engine platforms for over 20 years

ok got it i will try that and yes there are no other codes and the esn is 73863235

I had codes 1682 and 3714 come up.. so we did an update.. on test ride when it came back 3559 code was in there...have in my notes swapped out factory relay with aftermarket relay...cleared it took for another ride this was dec 2nd and still hasn't come back on..

on the fire wall would be my best guess without looking at a bus
