i have this c2 the def tank temp shows its 117 degrees and the ambient is 80 so i am thinkin i have a bad sensor but is it part of the header or can i replacw just the sensor

its all on piece but it could be a faulty coolant valve not shutting completely and over heating your DEF, use a heat gun and check the actual temperature of the DEF or on either side of coolant vale to detect a pass by of coolant

OEM trained in wiring and all engine platforms for over 20 years

i would say it could be but with the bus sitting over night the def tank temp still shows 118 degrees

The sensor is only available with the Header as far as I know. Our '14 & '15's take an A04-28046-000. We've replaced (22) of them in eight years. (4) in '22, (5) in '23, and (3) so far this year.
