Im currently experiencing my 10amp Idm fuse on the firewall blowing.
The bus before i started working on it had a 10 amp fuse in for the Fuel heater in the side door compartment. The label calls for a 20 amp fuse in that spot.
After replacing with the 20 amp fuse for the fuel heater the idm fuse pops instantly,
If i leave it at a 10 amp fuse, the fuel heater fuse blows after start up and i can no longer shut the bus off with the ign switch.

I read on another post for vt365 idm fuse issues, and i checked the harness near the trans and found a broken wire and repaired it, ive checked the wiring harness near the idm and ecm for rubbed wires with no luck of a rubbed wire.

2004 IC CE200 with a vt365

Any help would be appreciated.

worked with VT365 for awhile, never see 10amp fuse for IDM, it should be 40amp and it should be located on the top of battery inside battery box, are you sure the fuse you are talking about for IDM?

Yes it does have one there, there is also another fuse that is labeled IDM mounted on the firewall under the hood.

Replaced the idm relay. Im beginning to wonder if there is a short in the idm module causing the fuse to blow

Make sure to check the sockets in the IDM relay connecter. Replace the connecter if any of the pins are not shinny or if any of the plastic shows signs of melting.
