Does 2006 international school bus Allison 2000 transmission has ventilation port? when we separated engine and transmission, it will be air get into transmission fluid, do we need bleed air out to prevent transmission fluid losing pressure? Thanks

It has a breather on the top left rear of the transmission. No you don't to do anything other than fill it when you put it back in.

Thanks for reply, RonF, when we switch the gear lever from N to D, the Range Inhibited yellow warning light came up one time, the engine running but bus doesnot move, the transmission is not engaged, any idea? how can I get transmission faulty code? I have diamond logic builder software, does it work with transmission? Thanks

TCU not seeing brake applied, or one of the speed sensor( input, converter and output) is showing RPM you would need DOC to read tranny codes

Current NED's and or DLB might read the trans codes. Look around for an "all modules" tab. The Navistar Health Report (HeRo) program will pull those codes and just about everything else for every module. It is a 1 time fee. Does not need annual renewal. Will post the report to the cloud if the computer has internet access. Your dealer can "see" the report. Actually anybody with On Command access can see it. Will work on any make. Makes it easy to get info to your dealer if they are helpful.
