our church has a an 08 ic ce 300 with a vt 365 that we bought new. one of our drivers got in yesterday and got a warn engine light. bus started and idles just fine, no throttle control. codes coming up are 2033-14p . also had a 2023 and 611 code. but they didnt come back after clearing. checked fuses at batteries, checked all fluid levels.

50k miles.
i dont have any test equipment for this bus. any ideas? thanks. mark |

| loss of data link from esc. thats all i get from that. maybe i have a connector corrosion problem. thanks for the quick reply |

maybe i havent given enough info. 2033 14p 16:2 15:2 i am trying to learn so we dont have to take this in . thanks for any help.
went by to do some more checking, after clearing the codes once again got a new one besides the ones above. 2023-14a 150.1 anyone? thanks. |

These are body codes. They come up to be missing gauge cluster info on the J1939 circuit. The twisted green and yellow wires.
Google search SPN 2023 FMI 14 It should take you to a Volvo link. It's the same thing.

update on my bus. local dealer found that the tps? or throttle pedal was defective. parts ordered, total bill was just over 1k. 2 hrs diagnostics, 1 hr labor. 550 list on pedal assembly.
back in the day this was a common failure on ford super duty trucks with the 7.3. diesel. i have one neighbor who drives a 00 f250 7.3 and hes on his third throttle pedal. |
