i am having a problem starting this bus its a 2006 dt466 pre dpf it cranks and cranks every moring when cold if i plug it in for an hour i fires right up the intake heater is getting power when u turn key on i used my temp gun and if i shoot the area where the intake heater is its 80 degrees how hot is it suppose to get is 80 degress enough or am i looking in the area and i have another problem

We have seen the grid heater completely carboned up. Especially if an egr cooler has leaked at some time. We remove the intake and clean it...

i have never takin one out what does it look like is it a grid like lets say a radiator and are u saying its working but because of the carbon its not allowing it to heat up also how hard is it to get out

they break internally, just a coil like a toaster

Check currant draw instead of voltage. Usually ranges from 100-140amps..
