Just an interesting observation for a slow day on the mechanics forum.

From 2007 emission MaxxForce 7 Engine Operation and Maintenance Manuals;
copyright 09 manual; "Lube system capacity including filter 19 quarts"
copyright 08 manual; "Lube system capacity including filter 18 quarts"

I don't think the pan is any different, they use the same oil filter, just wondering whats the logic to this change, anyone?

The 2010 emission version has many changes from the 07 emission unit, a completely different oil filter setup is among the changes.

I've been self studying these Internationals. I have a contractor friend that has a few CE200s. The dealer down here is hiring but won't work me part time.

That's awesome!
By the way, are we talking the v8 here? Because my DT has 31 QT capacity.
