At my city's bus dealer, American Bus Sales LLC, i found a '71 Crown FE beat up and rusty, but a week later, the bus looked brand new. ***PICS COMING SOON*** |

A 1971 Crown FE? Crown as in a real Crown (Crown Supercoach), or "Crown" () as in Carpenter? |

Boy, I hate large signature photographs... |
Due to the current economic condition, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off until further notice. |

Wait, it's not a '71, my mistake, it's a '98.
Good Lord! How could you mix up a '98 with a '71?!
And Carpenters did not have the "Crown" model name until 1995 when the updated Carpenter body came out. However, Crown Supercoach, which built heavy duty transit buses in California was not affiliated with Carpenter. Carpenter simply bought the rights to the name when they went out of business in 1991. |

Did the real Crown even offer an FE product? Forgive me, I'm not up to snuff of my Crown history |

In the 1940s!
I was questioning it because sometimes people call the mid-engine buses "FEs" or "REs" not knowing what they actually are. |
