They can run from a few thousand dollars to a few hundred thousand dollars. We built our own years ago which was basically an automatic rinse system. The driver still had to wash by hand then drive through the rinse.
We now have a Red Arrow brand touchless dual chemical system with undercarriage rinse that works very well. This is a higher costing unit built to run non-stop all day long.
We tried an N/S system a few years ago but it did not work well and was very costly to operate.

We had a Rainbow automatic system that we purchased used. It was 1/2 automatic, you still needed a operator, and someone to scrub the windshield.

It jumped off the track, ripped mirrors off, and was generally uncooperative. It was much faster, and cheaper overall than washing by hand however.

If you want customer service, you NEED an International!

A guy that drives a bus here is over the community service, so on occaisions he will have the people that needs hours to wash his bus. The water and supplies needed are at the bus garage.

Our solution is the garden hose and brush...and lots of wash/wax. And the fact that the driver is responsible for his/her own bus.

Our fueler will also wash buses on a rotating schedule as time permits. Otherwise--it is a matter of pride: those that care take care of their units. Those that dont...drive dirty buses.

Go figure.....

Brad, take a look at our machines... They are a great 40 year old idea which we made into a totally autonomous, self drive machine that can take the 'wash to the bus' rather than having to take the 'bus to the wash' MCI, ABC, UPS and Bluebird have signed on. www.bitimec.com, Bruno

Bruno, Even though you posted your ad 6 times,(once would have been sufficient.) The link does not work. Can you check the website and supply a new link?

Apologies for the repetition gus... just trying to get my feet wet here.

I have posted a cool "link" to a set of photos of our totally Mobile, totally autonomous Bus Washers. They are absolutely new in the States and we just want to get the word out to all the people in the business.
