I have a fleet of 20 + vehicles to keep records on . Every month I turn in about 20 pages of info showing what I have done for the month on these vehicles . It's a lot of paperwork and over time amounts to a lot of paper . Is there a program for a computer that I can use to keep track of repairs ,dates, part numbers and mileage as well as remind me when services need to be performed ? Also that my boss can access from his computer to check on what is being done ? Every month I turn in what I have done on paper and my boss signs off on it and also he sees what I am doing Then i file it away with each vehicle .Some have 200 pages or more of paper to their file I would like to do away with this .So what do you use and how much ?Thanks.
RTA Fleet Management Software is what I used we had 40 buses. It does everthing you were asking about. I thought it was expensive but our IT guy said that it was resonable for what it does. Now I have not been at that school where i got it for about 10 years but i used it and really liked it very good support from RTA.
We just purchased Transfinder and are going to roll it out at the beginning of the year. Another district around us uses it and they said they love it. It also has an electronic maintenance record and parts inventory system you can add on with it.
