RINGGOLD, Ga. — Georgia state fire investigators said two Catoosa County school buses were intentionally set on fire Sunday, WRCBtv.com reports.
The Georgia Arson Control Program is funding a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the arsonist. The buses, which cost around $90,000 each, were a total loss — Catoosa County Schools officials said insurance should cover most of it, but they'll use tax dollars already earmarked for education if necessary to replace the vehicles.
The buses were parked in a fenced-off side lot at a baseball park. The drivers reportedly park there because it makes sense for their routes.
