Grote Industries de Mexico, an engineering design center and production facility in Apodaca, Mexico, has expanded more than 50%, according to a news release.
The facility, which has been operating since 1993 and employs more than 600 people, has grown to accommodate new production and shipping capacity with an eye toward increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and helping the company remain innovative.
“The expansion of Grote Industries de Mexico underscores Grote’s ongoing commitment to embrace new opportunities and create the kind of industry-leading products that customers around the globe have come to rely on,” says Dominic Grote, president and CEO of Grote Industries. “Grote Industries has been a leader in innovation for more than 120 years – today, they carry on that tradition by consistently delivering safer, smarter products in a highly competitive marketplace.”
Investment in the Mexico operation is expected to help the company be more competitive and better serve customers, with vertically integrated facilities assisting Grote in navigating supply chain issues, efficiently assemble products at multiple locations, and quickly ship them worldwide.
“The expansion and improvement of our Mexico operation will further our overall goal of operating safe, environmentally friendly facilities dedicated to the pursuit of zero-defect manufacturing,” says Grote.
Antonio Leal, general manager of Grote Industries de Mexico, sees the impact of this new investment firsthand.
“At a local level, Grote Industries is deeply committed to providing great jobs and a professional work environment to our team in Apodaca,” Leal said. “The expansion of Grote Industries de Mexico will ensure that our capacity for innovative product development and production is able to grow along with our customers’ needs well into the future.”
