Retread provider Pre-Q Galgo shared tips for extending tire life for school bus fleets during the recent Ohio School Bus Mechanics Association (OSBMA) annual workshop.

More than 200 mechanics and school districts from across the state gathered Oct. 18 in Columbus, Ohio.

“We were a showcase vendor again this year, providing an excellent opportunity to spend more time with well over 200 mechanics from across Ohio,” said Ron Elliott, Pre-Q Galgo’s marketing manager. “As I am sure everyone knows, new tire prices continue to increase, and school districts are looking for alternatives to stretch their budgets.”

Tony Scannell, sales manager from Wonderland Tire, conducted four tire workshops. David Stevens, managing director of the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) provided information to attendees about the economic and environmental advantages of retread programs.
