Here are some vintage photos of Santa Monica Unified School District's (now Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District) school bus fleet and transportation staff, sent to SCHOOL BUS FLEET from Neal Abramson, director of transportation. He told SBF he was moving some files in his office when he came across the photos. We get glimpses of the district's fleet, transportation staff, and a safety training from as early as 1951, as well as some infamous Southern California highway traffic in 1971, showing some things never change.
