COLUMBUS, Ohio — Weldon, a division of Akron Brass, was chosen to supply its energy-efficient, durable LED lighting products and V-MUX multiplexing solutions for Trans Tech Bus’ new eTrans Type A all-electric school bus.

In addition to energy efficiency and lower power consumption, officials said Weldon’s patented V-LED technology with serviceable LEDs increases student safety due to its extraordinary brightness and signaling power.

Moreover, V-LEDs are field upgradeable, which allows users to benefit from future LED technologies without reinvesting in a complete fixture.

Weldon’s V-MUX vehicle multiplexing systems integrate all components, and they are a complete electrical control solution. Users can control all lighting, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning, with the full-color Vista display screen.

Trans Tech Bus debuted the eTrans at the National Association for Pupil Transportation’s conference in Cincinnati last month, as SBF previously reported.
