PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — A high school student was taken into custody last Thursday for throwing an object from the window of a school bus that struck a woman's head.

Morgan Andrew Linder, 15, reportedly threw large jawbreaker candies at the woman’s pickup truck. The woman called 911 and followed the bus after one of the candies hit her head, causing a contusion.

She then made contact with the bus driver, who parked until deputies arrived. Surveillance video from on board the bus was obtained, and authorities confirmed that Linder threw the candy.

Linder was booked in a local jail and then released to his parents. He has been charged with the felony of throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.
