TULSA, Okla. — IC Bus is now taking orders for its CE Series school bus with the Cummins ISB 6.7-liter engine.

The first available units were produced at the IC Bus Tulsa, Okla., plant last week.

Parent company Navistar International Corp. announced in September that it would offer the Cummins ISB6.7 for IC Bus CE Series school buses and International DuraStar medium-duty trucks, marking Navistar's first medium-duty vehicles with selective catalytic reduction emissions aftertreatment.

The CE Series now offers a selection of three mid-range diesel engines: the MaxxForce 7, MaxxForce DT and Cummins ISB6.7.

IC Bus will display an ISB-equipped CE Series bus at the National Association for Pupil Transportation Summit later this month.

Navistar announced on Monday that it is on track to begin customer deliveries of ISB-equipped CE Series school buses in late January 2014 and DuraStar units in December 2013.
