TEMPLE HILLS, Md. — Police are investigating the attempted abduction of an 8-year-old boy on his way to a bus stop here on Thursday morning.

The boy told officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department that a man driving a car stopped ahead of him as he was walking toward his bus stop. The man allegedly got out of the car and pointed a gun at the boy, while a woman got out of the passenger side of the car and reportedly told the boy to get into the car.

The boy began running, and the suspects drove away. The boy reported the incident after arriving at school.

Detectives have been working to identify the two suspects. They were described as a black male and a black female, both between the ages of 20 and 30. Both suspects were wearing dark clothing, and they left the area in a light-colored, possibly gray, passenger car.
