SOUTHLAKE, Texas — PulseTech Products Corp. introduced the SC-6, a six-station HD recovery charger designed to recover, charge, maintain and desulfate from one to six 12-volt lead-acid batteries at a time.

The compact and portable recovery charger, designed primarily for managers of small fleets and commercial shops, was created to work with any 12-volt battery type, including VRLA, AGM, gel and flooded cell. Each of the six charging stations operates in isolation, allowing any combination of battery brands or types to be recharged simultaneously, company officials said.

The SC-6 has six independent channels that profile the condition of each battery and then automatically cycle through a recovery and charge process that applies the correct charge (variable up to 6A) and PulseTech’s optimized high frequency, patented Pulse Technology waveform to each battery. This technology removes sulfate crystals from the battery plates, increasing the battery’s ability to accept, store and release energy, extending battery life up to five times, according to the supplier.

Five LED indicators next to each cable connection show the status of each battery channel: battery disconnected, bad battery, recovery charge, pulse charge, charge complete. With only one switch to turn the unit on, there are no additional dials to set and no possibility of overcharging or overheating the batteries.

The cables are designed to be flexible and replaceable, and fit in the case for easy storage. They can be disconnected and safely moved to the next battery since no current flows through the cable until connected to the battery, company officials said.

The SC-6 carries a one-year warranty. MSRP is $1,975. For additional product information, go to www.pulsetech.net or call (800) 580-7554.
