Grip device helps handle heavy batteries

A new product from Kiene Diesel Accessories aims to make it easier for vehicle technicians to lift heavy batteries.

The K-1320 Battery Grip features textured grippers that clamp onto batteries with a powerful, controlled squeeze, according to the company.

Kiene officials also said that the device’s compact design enables it to fit into tight spots, and its ergonomic handle provides for comfortable lifting and transporting of batteries.

The company has reportedly already taken orders for the product from several school bus maintenance shops.
