ATTLEBORO, Mass. — A teenage student here is recovering after being struck by a motorist as he was walking to his school bus, FOX25 reports.
Police Chief Kyle Heagney told the news source that the 14-year-old boy was walking down the road, but the motorist didn’t see him, the bus, or the flashing red lights on the bus. The motorist had not scraped away the frost and ice that covered his windshield, making it hard to see, Heagney added.
The motorist was charged with negligently operating a vehicle, impeded operation and failure to stop for a school bus.
The teen rolled up onto the hood of the car and his head hit the windshield, Heagney told FOX25. He is recovering from a concussion and minor injuries.
